Yours truly on lake Purrumbete hunting that elusive brown. This kayak (Hobie Revolution) is ideal as it allows me to sit side saddle openining up a large area of water to cast to.
Tim had this large "flattie" within days of taking delivery of his new Hobie Outback. His first expedition with the yak was to East Gippsland. From his email it was a very fruitful holiday with plenty of nice fishing and fun in the kayak.
What a great day it was on the Maribyrnong river. Four of us peddled our way from the Essendon rowing club to Pier 35 with a lunch break in Footscray. At the end of the day we spoke about our next sojourn being up the Yarra from Williamstown.
A Couple of nice 8 pounders that were sure to eat well. More fish from tim's adventure into East Gippsland with his Hobie Outback Kayak. Well done Tim!
Got Him! Well after plenty of persistence I finally hooked up with that elusive brown. I don't know whether it was skill on my behalf or suicide on his behalf but he took a gold BMS.
